Our focus is on the aesthetic of the materials we install while following the proper installation methods. We are masters of the old world craft, yet are on the forefront of new methods, techniques, certifications, and technology. We meticulously work through the process of feasibility, design, and budgeting in the pre-construction stage.

OUR QUALIFICATIONS
With the ongoing shortage of labor and qualified craftsmen aging out of the tile industry, industry stakeholders from both the union and nonunion, as well as industry associations such as NTCA and TCNA came together to address this issue to protect the consumer of tile. A solution was the development of certifications and advanced certifications that test pre-qualified participants on industry standards and their abilities to execute them in the field. All of our installers are CTI - Certified Tile Installers through the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation. CTEF is the only tile industry recognized third party institute for certifications. With a pass rate of less than 50% D.W. Sanders installers have a 100% pass rate. The test is a combination of industry standards along with a 9 hour hands-on field test. Additionally all of our installers hold ACT - Advanced Certifications for Tile Installers. This is a series of tests that focuses solely on different types of tiles, substrates and installation areas. All of our employees participate in ongoing education through the NTCA - National Tile Contractors Association. They are all up to date on latest industry standards and best practices
NTCA Five Star Accreditation Program establishes high standards for tile and stone companies. A five star accredited company must demonstrate rigorous business practices and are committed to advancing the professionalism of the tile and stone industry. By achieving and maintaining this accreditation, companies continuously showcase their quality and value through an independent third-party review. D.W. Woody Sanders is the driving force behind D.W. Sanders Tile & Stone Contracting Inc., an Atlanta-based, NTCA 5 Star accredited firm specializing in bespoke stone and tile projects, including pioneering elevated pedestal installations with 2 cm paver and natural stone. Under his leadership, the company's motto, "Craftsmanship by the standards," reflects a deep commitment to technical excellence and continuous employee training.
A respected figure in the industry, recently recognized as the Coverings Champion 2025 and the NTCA Ring of Honor in 2024, Woody is a Certified Tile Installer (CTI #1295) with multiple Advanced Certifications for Tile (ACT #22). His dedication extends beyond his own business, serving as 1st Vice President on the NTCA executive board, a Board member of the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation, and a voting member on the NTCA Technical, Methods and Standards, and ANSI A108 Committees. His active involvement underscores his passion for upholding and advancing industry standards and best practices.

Janice Daigle
Project Manager
Janice Daigle, a graduate of University of West Georgia, has been a key member of D.W. Sanders Tile & Stone since the spring of 2015. As the backbone of our daily operations, Janice manages all aspects of pre-construction estimating and works closely with vendors, designers, and builders throughout the pre-construction and construction stages. Her attention to detail and ability to manage complex project logistics ensures everything runs smoothly. Known for her professionalism and dedication, Janice cares deeply about every project and person she works with, making her an essential part of our team.
Her participation in the tile industry is not just in the office - Janice is a board member of Women in Tile and sits on the Training & Education Committee for the NTCA, bringing valuable industry insights back to D.W. Sanders Tile & Stone. She also is a 2020 NTCA Rockstar Award recipient.

Jamie Desarno
Vice President of Production, CTI #1297 ACT #27
Jamie Desarno began his journey to becoming a master tile and stone installer at the age of 19, starting his career with D.W. Sanders Tile & Stone. After completing his apprenticeship with the company, Jamie quickly proved himself as a skilled and reliable tradesman. With many years of hands-on experience, he is a true journeyman of his craft. Advancing to site superintendent, Jamie ran the largest and most advanced projects.
Beyond his installation expertise, Jamie plays a key role in training and mentoring the next generation of tile setters. His leadership and problem-solving skills have been instrumental in tackling complex projects over the years. Known for his steady approach and deep passion for the work, Jamie’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship is evident in every project he leads. Jamie holds CTI and ACT credentials, as well as OSHA 10 and ongoing safety and industry education. As VP of production, Jamie is involved in every project starting in the office and managing in the field.
